Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), or the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, is a professional statutory organisation incorporated under the Chemists Act 1975 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Inaugurated on 8th April 1967 with 27 Founding Members, IKM was registered with the Societies Act 1966 on 13th October 1967.
