On December 7, 2011, Kampong Bahru Development Corporation Act 2011 [Act 733] was passed by Parliament. Kampong Bharu Development Corporation (PKB) has been established on 1 April 2012. PKB has been tasked as the coordinating agency, facilitator and a prime mover in the development of Kampong Bharu.
