Lembaga Pembangunan Tioman was established on 19 November 1997 under the Enactment of Bill. 7/1997 by the Pahang State Government. The Board has commenced operations on January 1, 1998 with a total of 12 posts only. Tioman Development Authority was originally headquartered at 4th Floor, Wisma Sri Pahang Kuantan. Then at the end of 1998, the headquarters of Tioman Development Authority has moved to address a 145-147, Level 1 & 2, Lorong Tun Ismail 6, 25000 Kuantan.
