Al-Maahad Al-Mahmud established on Friday, 29 Rabi ‘al-Akhir 1355 corresponding June 19 1936. Al-Maahad Al-Mahmud name was given to commemorate His Majesty the Tunku Mahmud, the son of the late Al-Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Mukarramul Shah.The main objective of the establishment is to meet the needs and demands of the religion of Islam and create a generation of scholars in the field of Islamic studies.
